SBR SERIES™ RETROFIT BURNER SYSTEMS
The Sun Combustion, Inc. SBR SERIES™ RETROFIT BURNER SYSTEMS are designed to use either conventional or waste gaseous fuels. They may be utilized in forced draft or natural draft burner applications and may be supplied with either ambient or high temperature combustion air. Burner fuel firing input capacities range from 5000 BTU / HR through 50 Million BTU / HR and the burner can achieve a firing rate turndown ratio exceeding 20:1. The burner can be fired with high excess combustion air or extremely low excess combustion air while maintaining excellent flame stability throughout the entire burner operating range. The burner does not rely on gas pressure for its unique mixing performance and the unit can be designed to produce various flame shapes for a particular application. When incorporated into Sun Combustion, Inc.'s SP or SPX Series™ of burners, the flame shape can be varied by simple adjustment. SBR SERIES™ RETROFIT BURNER SYSTEMS virtually eliminate gas head burnout and damage due to high temperature exposure at low firing rates, improves burner efficiency and firing rate turndown ratios, and is truly a "Bolt-on" conversion.
DESIGN
& CONSTRUCTION
The SBR SERIES™ RETROFIT BURNER SYSTEM'S design and construction is unique.
Two (2) high temperature alloy plates, formed with short tubes which
engage, form orifices through which combustion air passes.
Gaseous fuel is emitted around the edge of these orifices, through
annular openings, and mixes with the combustion air passing through the orifice
instantly and with all of the combustion air exiting the burner.
The annular gas opening sizes may be varied and / or gas orifices may be
added around the circumference of the burner for various capacities and
available gaseous fuel supply pressures.
APPLICATIONS The SBR SERIES™ RETROFIT BURNER SYSTEMS can be applied to all models and sizes of nozzle mixing type burners produced by:
